Fashion’s biggest night of the year is here, and its darlings are soon to descend on 5th Avenue.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute is staging “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” as the second installment of September 2021’s Met Gala “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” And the dress code of “gilded glamour” leaves much to the imagination — will we see opera gloves? Corsets? Bridgerton-style updos? Expect the unexpected at the Met.
Tonight’s hosts are Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Regina King. LaLa Anthony, Vanessa Hudgens and Hamish Bowles will host the red carpet.
