Kristen Stewart has been on the press circuit as Spencer garners award season buzz, and the actress offered a little detail into her recent engagement to girlfriend Dylan Meyer during her appearances on Live with Kelly and Ryan and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
With Colbert last night, Stewart spoke about their wedding plans—and how they might just elope.
“I want to have a big party or something. I’m so unceremonial. I think we might just go do it this weekend or something, I don’t know, and then, like, just hang out with everyone afterwards,” Stewart said.
“I just want to do it,” she stressed. “I’m not a good planner. I can’t make plans for dinner. I like to pivot. You never know where I’m going, man.”

Regarding their engagement, Stewart said on Live with Kelly and Ryan, via People, “We met years ago and then sort of re-met before the pandemic. And we got engaged—I guess it’s still the pandemic, so yes, I guess it’s a pandemic engagement. But it wasn’t at the height, it wasn’t full lockdown.”
“We were kind of moving about the world a little more freely at the time,” she added. “We did have an engagement party, which was nice and lucky and obviously not something we could have done now so I’m thankful for that.”
Stewart first spoke about her hopes to marry Meyer in November 2019. While Meyer ultimately proposed to Stewart, Stewart told Howard Stern then that she was planning to pop the question.
“The day that I met her, all bets were off,” Stewart remembered. “I was like, ‘Where have I been and how have I not known you?’ She’s been, like, living in LA alongside my life somehow but not ever converging?”
On getting married to Meyer, Stewart said she “can’t f*cking wait” to propose to her. The two started dating in summer 2019.
“Yeah, I want to be, like, somewhat reasonable about it, but I think good things happen fast,” Stewart continued. “I can’t say right now [how I plan to propose], because she’ll find out.”
