Uncut Gems actress Julia Fox has been dating rap artist Kanye West since New Year’s Eve, and their relationship has gotten an enormous amount of attention. In Friday’s episode of her Forbidden Fruits podcast, Fox says that the attention is not what is drawing her to West.
“It’s funny cause I’m getting all of this attention, but I really couldn’t care,” said the 31-year-old. “People are like ‘Oh, you’re only in it for the fame, you’re in it for the clout, you’re in it for the money.’ Honey, I’ve dated billionaires my entire adult life, let’s keep it real.”
Fox seems to have more of an interest in West’s approach to life, because her own is about creating art and “putting things into the world.”
“Watch my movie, read my book,” stated Fox. “That is more thrilling to me now than eyes on me. I couldn’t care less.”
Despite her claims, Fox has been very public about her relationship with West, even writing a piece for Interview magazine about going out with West, titled Date Night. She described how he took her out for dinner and the date included a photo shoot and brand new clothes.
“His energy is so fun to be around. He had me and my friends laughing, dancing, and smiling all night,” she wrote. “Everything with us has been so organic. I don’t know where things are headed but if this is any indication of the future I’m loving the ride.”
During her podcast episode, Fox referenced a viral clip that showed her and West spending time with Madonna, Floyd Mayweather, and ex Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Antonio Brown.
“There was a lot going on. Madonna was there,” dished Fox. “I was actually supposed to be at dinner for just Madonna and I … and all of these other celebs crashed.”
“They all had dinner in the private dining room. They came separately but just ended up having dinner together,” a source told People about the night. “Kanye and Julia wouldn’t leave each other’s sides.”
