Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Have Reportedly Broken Up and Called Off Their Engagement

Page Six and TMZ dropped a bombshell late Friday afternoon: Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, who recently celebrated the two-year anniversary of their engagement, have privately broken up. TMZ reports the two split today after four years together. The reasoning is unclear right now. People confirmed the report too, with a source telling the outlet, “This has been a long time coming.”

Page Six was told by Miami sources that the couple had been on the rocks and headed toward calling it. A source “familiar with A-Rod” said today that the two were apart: “He’s now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic.”

What makes this report so jarring is that two days before, on March 10, Entertainment Tonight ran a report from a source insisting the wedding, which had been postponed twice due to COVID, was still on.

“Jennifer and Alex are still planning on getting married,” that source said. “He is so into her and they have so much fun together. It is amazing how well they get along. She trusts him like no one else she has been with, and is in one of the best places in her career and personal life.

“He is her biggest fan,” the source added. “[He] tells her how gorgeous, smart and perfect she is all day. He is so in love with her and has no problem showing it.”

Rodriguez was plagued by cheating rumors earlier this year when Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy suggested she and Rodriguez may have been talking over DM.

A source shot down the LeCroy rumors to ET, saying that Lopez and Rodriguez “are so connected both romantically as a couple and as a family with their kids and these rumors wouldn’t break that. Jennifer isn’t bothered and doesn’t care about the Alex and Madison rumors. She thinks it’s outside noise and trusts Alex. She’s so in love with him.”

Neither Lopez nor Rodriguez have commented on the breakup reports yet.
