Parents do a lot for their kids. Take Kim Kardashian: for six-year-old daughter North West, the reality star and business mogul took take time out to stop, dance, and make videos for TikTok, Gen Z’s favorite social media platform. Kardashian shared one the two made on her Instagram. The video has a trippy filter—three Norths and Kims dance to Bomba Estéreo’s “To My Love (Tainy Remix).” But it’s fit for the platform and apparently IG, too.
“Tik Tok,” Kardashian captioned it simply. It’s been less than 24 hours, and the video already has over 9 million views. The power of having a mom with 160 million Instagram followers!
Kardashian spoke earlier this month about how her daughter is quietly on the platform. “North has a private TikTok account, so we do lots of TikToks together, and she puts them in drafts,” Kardashian told Entertainment Tonight at Vanity Fair‘s Oscar after party. “She’s not allowed to post them, but we have a lot of TikToks.” Kardashian teased she may post one in the future, and boy, did she deliver.
North being on TikTok isn’t the only major news item about the six-year-old that Kardashian shared this year. Kardashian posted Instagram proof that North and her younger brother Saint West are no longer enemies in January. “They get along now,” she captioned the photos of Saint and North chilling.
Kardashian previously told People in October 2018 that North used to pretend she had no siblings. “North acts like an only child at all times,” Kardashian said. “I think she’s a little confused. She’s beyond jealousy now. She’s just like, ‘It’s my world.’ She said to me the other day, ‘Mom…we just need to have another baby brother so that Saint can just leave me alone…so the girls can be on this side of the house and the boys can be on that side of the house.’”
