Zendaya and her Euphoria co-star Jacob Elordi have talked about how very close they are, although both have stressed it’s just friendly amid months of dating rumors. Zendaya preemptively shut down dating rumors last week when she attended the American Australian Association Arts Awards with Elordi. She presented the award to him and called him her “best friend” while making her speech.
Elordi addressed the Zendaya dating rumors himself in a GQ Australia interview published in December. He praised the experience of working with her, then kind of friend-zoned her. “She’s like my sister,” he started. “Zendaya is an amazing creative, you know? She’s super dope to work with. She’s an incredible artist and a very caring person to all of us. But we’re all really close. There is not one weak link in that show. We’ve spent so much time together and everyone is just so cool to work with. Sam Levinson is just a genius and working with him, it was just like electricity all the time. I was in awe. Like a kid in a candy shop.”
Zendaya and Elordi were first linked in the summer when they were seen on vacation in Greece together. They also went to Australia together in November, although it was for work: Both attended GQ Australia‘s Men of the Year awards.
