BTS Outdid Themselves in Their Mesmerizing Debut Performance of ‘Black Swan’

Watch a BTS performance, and one of the most mesmerizing aspects is the group’s ability to perform elaborate, high-energy choreography while being perfectly in sync with each other and singing. Last night, V, Suga, Jimin, Jungkook, RM, Jin, and J-Hope continued that history of excellence during their debut live performance of “Black Swan” on The Late Late Show. Come for the music and visuals—the boys all dressed stylishly in black—stay for the dancing. It honestly may be one of the most breathtaking performances you see today:

James Corden interviewed the group after, and he asked J-Hope what he does if he messes up the dance routine. J-Hope quipped, “Hmmm…I don’t care,” and the group laughed. But concert after concert, the boys nail their choreography.

Back in May, Jungkook succinctly settled the debate on who’s the worst dancer in the group. He said, during iHeartRadio’s livestream, that “we are perfect.”

BTS’s Late Late Show appearance comes days after they performed at the Grammys with Lil Nas X. Their album Map of the Soul: 7 comes out on February 21. They told Billboard on the red carpet that they really want to work with Ariana Grande, who watched their rehearsal.

“We always want to collaborate with Ariana, she’s the one right now and she’s the best,” RM said, reiterating later in the interview, “Please collaborate with us, Ari!”

Grande shared a shot of them during Grammys rehearsal. RM explained the backstory: “She was practicing next to our studio, and she said she wanted to see our rehearsals. We saw hers and she saw ours, that’s how it happened.”
