Two princess gowns weren’t enough for Ariana Grande last night. The singer debuted a third look during the award show broadcast. Audience shots showed Grande in a strapless emerald gown with a pendant necklace, dangle earrings, and long, matching gloves. The best views of the dress could be seen in photos Grande took with friends at the ceremony, including Chrissy Teigen, Demi Lovato, and Lil Nas X.
Grande started the night in a gray Giambattista Valli tulle gown that had distinct Cinderella vibes:
But before she left the red carpet, she changed into a two-toned gray dress:
On stage during her four-song performance, she had two stage looks too.
Grande was nominated for five Grammys last night, although she didn’t win any of them. She was up for Record of the Year (“7 Rings”), Album of the Year (Thank U, Next), Best Pop Solo Performance (“7 Rings”), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Boyfriend”), and Best Pop Vocal Album (Thank U, Next). Grande posted on her social media that she still had a lovely night. “i had a great mf time tonight 🙂 thank u for everything,” she wrote.
One of the evening’s most touching final moments came when Billie Eilish made her acceptance speech for Album of the Year and told everyone that she believed Grande deserved the honor over her. “I think it [Thank U, Next] deserves [Album of the Year] like more than anything in the world,” Eilish said. “I love you so much.” Grande brushed off the idea like the supportive friend she is.
