Kendall Jenner and NBA player Ben Simmons are officially giving their romance a third go, and People has a little insight into why the on-off couple came back to each other at the end of 2019.
The two originally started dating in May 2018, split at the end of the summer, then got back together in the fall of 2018. They lasted until May 2019, then took a break before reconciling at the end of 2019. They spent New Year’s Eve together and were first reported to be dating again in mid-December.
A source told People that while the two are on now, they’ll likely be off again at some point because of their schedules. Simmons plays for the Philadelphia 76ers, and Jenner is a model based in Los Angeles and New York City who travels often for fashion week and assignments.
But the connection keeps them coming back: “Kendall always liked Ben,” the source said. “They always have the best time together. They are dating and seem happy for now. They have both had a lot of time to see each other.”
Don’t be surprised if they’re off again soon though: “As soon as they get busy with their careers, it kind of fizzles out,” the source said. “But for now, everything is great.”
Jenner has been spending a lot of time in Philadelphia and New York City on the East Coast to be close to Simmons. The two were photographed on a brunch date in Manhattan this past weekend during one of their first public sightings of 2020.
