The late singer’s impact on the worlds of fashion and music is obvious with this new line-up.

The iconic David Bowie built up a reputation for impressive statement looks throughout his life and career. His inimitable style pushed boundaries – from androgynous glam to Ziggy Stardust and straight-up rock looks. Now, four years after Bowie’s death, his influence on fashion continues to be honoured through a capsule by Hugo, a brand whose DNA is closely linked to pop culture and musical inspiration.

“David Bowie was a rebel spirit who lived life on his own terms,” says Bart de Backer, senior head of design Hugo Menswear. “This capsule is an opportunity for us to celebrate the impact he had on the world and the values that we share.”

The limited-edition “Hugo Loves Bowie” collection offers both men’s and women’s pieces in a colour scheme of black, white and red. Although the collection is toned down compared to Bowie’s avant-garde style, it references the late singer’s Berlin era, specifically the 1977-1979 “Berlin Trilogy.” This body of work, which consists of the albums Low, Heroes and Lodger, is referenced in the capsule in a number of ways. Shots for the Heroes album cover, by Masayoshi Sukita, are featured on a white crewneck, while the album’s original promotional slogan, “Tomorrow belongs to those who can hear it coming,” is seen on an array of accessories and T-shirts. Plus, a leather jacket offers fans a cool opportunity to wear their admiration for him in their day-to-day life.

You can get your hands on the wares starting today. Shop the collection down below, online, in HUGO stores and in selected partner retailers worldwide.
