Their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte were with them. Their appearance comes after a royal source told The Sun that Kate’s two oldest children were expected to make their debut.

“It will be so sweet. George and Charlotte will make their Christmas debut, as long as they’re both on good form on the day,” the royal source said. “It’s the picture all royal fans want to see. The royals walking to church on Christmas Day is a rite of passage and so William and Kate didn’t want to expose their children too early, but they feel they’re old enough now.”

Kate and William already released a new photo of their children via their Kensington Palace Instagram account the minute Christmas started. At midnight in London, Kensington Palace published the candid photo Kate took of her husband with George, Charlotte, and their youngest child Prince Louis.

“🎄 Merry Christmas!” the Kensington Palace Instagram captioned the shot. “This photograph of The Duke of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge in Norfolk earlier this year. We wish all our followers a very happy and relaxing Christmas Day ⛄️”
