Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson’s relationship is just a few short months strong, but they are already sharing major holidays together. Last week, Cyrus turned 27 during a period of vocal rest, and Simpson was present at the family celebration.
This week, he joined the Cyrus crew at their family Thanksgiving, which Cyrus’s little sister, Noah, captured on her Instagram.
“extremely thankful for everyone at the table. 🖤🖤🖤 (a very sober thanksgiving staying hydrated 😩),” Noah posted, below a photo of the family, including Cyrus, her mother, Tish, brother Trace, and her grandmother, Ruth Ann Casto. The photo also showed the family with plates of Thanksgiving food and water bottles.
Billy Ray Cyrus also shared his own glimpse of the family holiday, with a shot of his mother preparing the turkey in the oven. He added a shout-out to his Old Town Road collaborator, Lil Nas X.
“Thankful you are a game changer,” he said, addressing Nas. “Get on over here. Counting my blessings.”
Cody hasn’t seemed to leave Cyrus’s side much after her vocal cord surgery earlier this month. She will need weeks to recover after the operation, which followed a separate operation for tonsillitis. She and Cody kept things (literally) quiet last week for Cyrus’s birthday celebrations but they seemed to have a good time anyway.
At least she’ll always have the memories of this very untraditional birthday and low-key Thanksgiving.
