It all started with a birthday post for Hailey Bieber. Last week, on his wife’s birthday, Justin Bieber posted the following caption on Instagram: “Happy birthday babes! You make me want to be better everyday! The way you live you life is so attractive.. ps you turn me on in every way 😍😍😍😍 next season BABIES.”
Naturally, fans assumed that the Biebers were expecting. The rumors didn’t last too long, though; Hailey set curious followers right. In her Instagram story, she posted the truth:

Though the rumors were false, it wasn’t a completely outlandish thought to assume that the newlyweds are expecting. In October, Justin posted a misleading Instagram caption under a video of a dad with a giggling baby. “This is something I look forward to,” he wrote.
The very next day, he posted another curious caption under a video of a dad interviewing his young daughter, whose mouth is coated in bright-red lipstick.
“Hailey with your attitude and my savage behaviour we are in a world of trouble haha,” Justin wrote under the video.
This is not the first time this year that people have been confused about the Biebers’ family planning news. In April, Justin posted an image of an ultrasound on Instagram and then a second photo of Hailey holding her stomach in what looked like an examination room.
Alas, it was an April Fool’s joke. The day these pranksters actually announce they’re having a baby, we’ll have to do a thorough fact-check—just to be sure.
