The country stars split after four years of marriage in June 2015, moving on to musicians Gwen Stefani (Shelton’s current girlfriend) and Anderson East (Lambert’s next boyfriend) shortly after. Lambert is now married to Brendan McLoughlin.
Their statement about the split, per the Associated Press, read:
“This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
