It drops in a matter of weeks

With the weather already cooling down across Canada, we’re all thinking of our fall wardrobes – and curating them is becoming even easier of late, thanks to a slew of pop-ups and collaborations coming to our shores this month.

Earlier this week, sustainable fashion brand Everlane announced it is launching a six-week pop-up in Nordstrom Toronto and Vancouver, and now, Uniqlo has unveiled its new collaboration with JW Anderson which will hit stores on October 17.

The theme for the collection is the Great British Outdoors, and as a result, the collection is brimming with cool weather-ready separates including chunky scarves, sweaters, jackets and beanies. Tartan features heavily in the collection, as do reversible items (a mainstay in the designer’s three earlier collections with the retailer). New pieces for this collection include down jackets and coats, perfect for the fall/winter season.

Of the collection, Anderson said in a release, “Like all the seasons I’ve done with Uniqlo, it’s always been interesting to see the collection evolve through the meetings with the teams and see it really become this amalgamation of LifeWear and JW Anderson. I liked this idea of pops of colour to make the heritage British patterns and colours feel a bit more modern. Contrasting pops of colour and tartan are very present.”

This collection also sees the fusion of Anderson’s designs with Uniqlo’s technical fabrics, including HEATTECH and AIRism for ultimate warmth, comfort and practicality. Prices range from $39.90 to $179.90 across both the men’s and women’s offerings.

The JW Anderson x Uniqlo F/W19 collection will be available from October 17 in store and online.
