The Bachelorette‘s Tyler Cameron wasn’t lying when he repeatedly called Gigi Hadid his “friend” in interviews: Entertainment Tonight reports the two are no longer dating or together romantically. A source close to the situation described Cameron as “single” now.
The report comes two days after Tyler C. teased that “I may be single” during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live and that he would be open to dating a “normal,” non-famous girl. “I love all girls,” he said.
Cameron and Hadid’s nearly two-month-long romance faded out after New York Fashion Week. Hadid has been in Europe, doing runway shows. But even before they broke up, sources cautioned that the two weren’t as serious as they looked with their multiple public dates (and Cameron’s attending Hadid’s grandmother’s funeral with her in the Netherlands).
Hadid and Cameron are “still just getting to know each other and have fun,” a source told People at the beginning of September. “They don’t want that pressure to push them further than where they are.”
“The media attention has been hard on Tyler and Gigi,” People‘s source added. “They’re trying to navigate it right now because they know how the press can pick apart every date they have and turn it into something bigger.”
And when Hadid and Cameron first started hanging out, E! was told by a source close to Hadid that she was hesitant to jump into anything. “Gigi has been really hesitant about getting serious with him,” the source said in a report published in August 14. “She feels she just ended a long-term relationship [with Zayn Malik] and wants to strictly have fun right now. She really enjoys hanging out with Tyler and he has spent the night over her house multiple times now. Tyler makes Gigi laugh continuously while they are together, and it’s been a while since someone has sparked her interest.”
