According to TMZ, law enforcement sources confirmed to them that the Glee actress’s body has been recovered. This follows Thursday’s announcement that the search-and-rescue mission had become a “search-and-recovery operation.”
“We’re presuming that an accident happened, we’re presuming that she drowned in the lake,” Officer Chris Dyer of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said last week. “There are no signs of foul play, no signs that anything went wrong, besides a tragic accident.”
Rivera was reported missing on Wednesday after boarding a boat with her four-year-old son Josey. After the boat was overdue for return, staff discovered her son alone and asleep on board, with Rivera nowhere to be found. She was 33-years-old. A press conference with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office is due at 2 P.M. at the lake.
