Cameron Diaz and her husband, Good Charlotte musician Benji Madden, started off the new decade by announcing they had welcomed a daughter, Raddix Madden, into their family. On Friday, Madden sent out a shout-out to his little family with a simple but sweet Instagram message.
“My Wife and Daughter fill me up with so much gratitude❤️,” he wrote. “Everyday, I feel so lucky❤️Just wanted to say it out loud!!! Much Love & Best Wishes ❤️❤️❤️”
On January 3, Diaz shared an Instagram post announcing Raddix’s arrival and celebrating the new year.
“Happy New Year from the Maddens!,” she shared. “We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden,” Diaz and Madden shared in the joint statement that Diaz posted to her Instagram. “She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family. While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong inclination to protect our little one’s privacy. So we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact she is really, really cute!! Some would even say RAD 🙂 From our family to all of yours, we’re sending our love and best wishes for a Happy New Year and Happy New Decade…”
Diaz did not include her daughter’s exact birthday in her announcement, but she did say she would be keeping most things about her kiddo’s life private. Clearly, Madden, to whom Diaz has been married since January 2015, is having a good time as a new dad. It’s hard to keep that kind of joy to yourself.
